So for election week I voted absentee and then escaped on an internetless Shenandoah getaway. In 2012 I held my tongue throughout the election process and then made a single short election journal of my more composed thoughts and memes?. I'm gonna try and do that again, but this time I'm including photography I took in the mountains last week, partially cause I know everyone is sick to death of the election. If you want to skip the text and just look at the shiny pictures, you are most welcome to. This is mostly for myself, anyway. I value self control and level headedness very much and it was really healthy for me to step away from things.

My name is Emily, or Em, or whatever you'd like to call me. I'm 18 years of age and a college student. I am hopeful to graduate with a Pharm D in 2021 and start a career in nuclear, compounding, or research pharmacy. My main goal is to lead a Christian life. I'm an imperfect person, and Christ is my inspiration and motivation to always push to be better. I'm ALIVE

College is so, so wonderful in many, many ways, but I'm very glad to only have a year left of undergrad. I have had only 2-4 hrs. of sleep per night for months, which meant I had to give up any hobbies for even that much sleep. I have 16 courses, a 4.0, and a research internship under my belt now, so it was all worth it--even the morning where I spit blood into a sink for 30 minutes after I woke. I am trying to ease myself back into drawing, and the first thing I've done doesn't look half as bad as I feared it would be. However, I chose bad paper and there is a lot of smudging; so unless I can find some really good pens, I may not post it. Do

Here We Go...

So I've finalized my schedule for my first semester of college...a whopping 18 hours, which in real hours of in-class time is 20 hours. And in that schedule I have biology, chemistry, and two honors classes (one of which is calculus). I expect tears to be shed by the end of my midterms.   I do think that adjusting to living 7 hours away from everyone--anyone--I know will take some time, but I'm excited for this transition! I can do this!

Did that grab your attention? Okay, great. First off, sorry for inactivity, but this super long hiatus is healthy, trust me. When you do online courses, it's for the best to get away from the internet as much as possible. I'll come back eventually, I promise. I just got back from a funeral, and I needed some cheering up!
